UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is the world’s largest international source of funding and technical assistance for population and reproductive health programmes.
UNFPA announces a vacancy of a Project Associate:
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the incumbent will provide programmatic and operations assistance for the successful implementation of the UNFPA-managed project "Support to Distribution of Harm Reduction Commodities among Vulnerable Groups in Ukraine" (hereinafter the "Project"), in the following area of responsibility:
Project Implementation:
Effectively applies, with due integrity and diligence, current UNFPA policies and procedures related to programming and operations (administration, finance, procurement, human resources).
Supports the Project Manager in the daily management of the Project, communicates and interacts with all Project partners, vendors and service providers on all matters related to the Project implementation for the successful and efficient implementation of all activities planned under the Project.
Maintains the document workflow required for Project transactions, prepares, verifies and enters Project related transactions into UNFPA management information system(s).
Keeps the Project time schedule, ensures that all planned activities are prepared in time and supported by required resources.
Monitors financial expenditures under the Project and advices to the Project Manager for the successful and cost-effective Project implementation.
Technically organizes the procurement of equipment and services required for the Project, maintains the Project inventory.
Provides inputs to the Project-related communications activities.
Participates in the Project monitoring and evaluation activities, prepares activity reports, field monitoring reports and provides inputs to the Project reporting documents as required by the Project Manager.
Participates in the external and internal meetings related to the Project, as required by the Project Manager.
Performs other activities as requested by the Project Manager.
