.System Storage Software is looking for an Application Development
Project Manager to join our expanding team! In this role you will
have project management responsibilities as well as hands-on
development duties for multiple software projects. To qualify, you
must have 5+ years strong project management experience in combination
with full life cycle project experience. Also, solid, practical
software engineering experience is a must (especially in Web and
networking programming areas).
GENERAL DUTIES:
* Create project plans/schedules; task/issue lists, action
items, status reports as well as adhere to internal project
methodologies;
* Identify and resolve project issues and risks, including
tracking, escalation and mitigation;
* Manage, integrate and balance resource/schedule requirements
within the project and between this project and other projects at the
company where required;
* Report project progress to senior management, identifying
issues and offering resolutions;
* Supervise performance and professional development for
technical members of the teams;
* Resolve critical issues and technical problems, which requires
involvement in product design and requirements analysis, as well as
implementation and testing phases.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* 5+ yrs traditional Windows development, including network
programming (Win32 API, MS C/C++, COM/DCOM/COM+, WinSock, TCP/IP,
object-oriented design and programming, client-server architecture and
applications);
* 5+ yrs traditional web development (HTML, DHTML, VBScript, and
JavaScript);
* 5+ yrs dynamic web development (ASP, JSP/Java, or PHP);
* 5+ yrs SQL Server database development (SQL, stored
procedures, ADO, ADO.Net);
* 3+ yrs in .NET web development (C#, ASP.NET);
* 3+ yrs in .NET application development (C#, WinForms,
Remoting);
* 3+ yr MS IIS (or Apache) server configuration, security,
management and maintenance;
* 3+ yr HTML, DHTML, XML and XSLT;
* 5+ yrs OOD, UML, and design patterns;
* Extensive experience with bug and source control systems (CVS,
SourceSafe, or Bugzilla);
* Extensive experience with Microsoft Solutions Framework
including Active Directory, etc.;
* Extensive SQL Server knowledge and design capabilities;
* Excellent written communication and documentation skills in
English (technical is a must, while verbal is a plus);
* Excellent technical management experience (project management
procedures and requirements, including Extreme Programming paradigm);
