VoIP (Voice over IP) is the technology used to transmit voice conversations over a data network using the Internet Protocol (IP). VoIP replaces old-style fixed-lines phone calls. VoIP market is growing rapidly; VoIP is currently replacing traditional long distance phone calls and traditional phone lines in corporate sector. Our company is a leading worldwide provider of cutting-edge VoIP solutions.
We are offering you a job of Senior Software Engineer in VoIP team.
Responsibilities
* Development of software for cutting-edge VoIP equipment
* Contribution to high/low level design, coding, integration, bug fixing, and documentation creation
* Lead a group of developers
* Review of work done by peers and by junior team members
* Consulting team members on technical issues
* Helping in beginners’ training
Requirements
* Education in Computer Sciences field
* 3-5 years of experience in C/C++
* Experience in embedded system programming
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms
* Strong English skills (spoken and written)
* Ability to take on responsibilities
The following requirements would be a plus
* Embedded system development
* Linux/UNIX system programming
* RTOS (embedded Linux, VxWorks or similar)
* Networking and network programming (UDP, TCP/IP, SNMP, other protocols)
* VoIP (SIP, H.323, MEGACO, RTP), telephony
* PowerPC platform
