SPC Manager (Automotive), MSc, MEng.
Permanent employment – West-Flanders (Belgium)
Company: Multinational company that is worldwide active in the fields of metal transformation and advanced materials and coatings. At the manufacturing site in West-Flanders (Belgium) – being the headquarters of the Steelcord department - over 1.600 employees are responsible for the development, manufacturing and sales of advanced steel wire products for a wide range of applications in mainly automotive and filtration technology. The position is situated in the Central Quality Assurance Department which is world wide responsible for the follow-up of the customer requirements, the statistical analysis and the in-process related activities for the 20 Steelcord plants.
Your role:
You define and implement corrective actions for the proper use of SPC tools. You will follow-up all resulting continuous improvement projects over the different plants.
You contribute to the implementation of SPC tools and to the training and coaching of SPC users in all plants.
You assist the core team in defining SPC control mechanisms for all Critical to Quality parameters.
Your profile:
You have a Master's / university degree in engineering and are a strong analytical thinker
You have a good working experience with SPC and especially with its statistical background; additional experience in process control is a major asset.
You have working experience in a company with a strong quality management structure, preferably situated in the automotive sector (including tier 1 companies) or in the manufacturing of large volume / continuous processes
You are a creative problem solver and a team player with excellent communicational skills
Experience with Statistical software is an asset
A multi-cultural background is a plus
You are fluent in English and are willing to learn Dutch on very short notice. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
You are willing to relocate to West-Flanders (Belgium) and to travel extensively (+/- 30%). Extensive help in relocation and in obtaining the necessary work permits will be provided.
