QA Engineer
Responsibilities:
1. Create and execute manual black box test plans and test cases for the Hotwire application based upon functional and software design specifications.
2. Understand system components, how they interact with one another, and be able to update testing procedures as the code changes.
3. Perform ad-hoc and Regression testing of system components under aggressive release schedules.
4. Provide detailed regression test case documentation for automation team.
5. Work closely with Product/Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Managers to understand the product requirements and use cases in order to deliver high quality software on schedule for production releases.
6. Be responsible for following through and making sure defects are reported and escalated appropriately.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills in assessing user, functional, and technical requirements and documentation and identifying high risk and key test areas.
- Understanding of quality assurance and software development processes and methodologies.
- Working understanding of web application testing techniques and strategies.
- Experience testing database driven applications including data validation using SQL.
- Software development or QA experience including test planning and test designing.
- Upper Intermediate English (sufficient to pass an interview)
